NSW Groups, Walk 4 Duchenne.
The community Walk 4 Duchenne was created to allow families, friends and members of the community to take part in the 7.9km walk on the 23rd February around Cooks River, starting and ending at Gough Whitlam Park. Immediately following the walk, we will be hosting a picnic with food, fun and activities for the entire family. A fun day for all involved.
The community challenge is to walk 7.9km to represent the 79 Exons in the dystrophin gene Just one mistake in this gene can cause Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The aim of the Walk 4 Duchenne is to raise awareness, unite the community and raise vital funds in our fight for a cure.
